What homes sold for in each place we cover, in the 12 months of HM Land Registry sales to August 2026, with the official price index and two measures of how well the area is holding up.
- Across the five places covered, HM Land Registry recorded 289 open-market sales between September 2025 and August 2026.
- Fishbourne had the highest median sold price, £513,000 on only 18 sales. Emsworth had the lowest, £400,000.
- Of the four places with enough sales to compare one year with the last, one rose and three fell. The biggest move was in Southbourne, where the median rose about 4% on 70 sales.
- Emsworth was the busiest market, with 144 sales; the quietest was Fishbourne, with 18.
- The official house price index, which adjusts for the kind of homes sold, put the average at £432,000 in Chichester district (down 1.4% on a year) and £316,000 in Havant borough (down 1.2%), in July 2026.
- On energy certificates, Chidham and Hambrook has the largest share of homes rated C or better (65%) and Bosham the smallest (42%).
- Storm overflows near Fishbourne spilled most often in 2025: 74 times, on the water companies' returns to the Environment Agency.
| Bosham | £500,000 (31 sales) | −1% | 31 | 42% |

Energy ratings are each home's latest certificate on the government register, as fetched on 20 October 2026.
A median needs 10 sales in the year; a change needs 20 in both years. Sales from the last two months are still being registered, so those counts will rise. Every figure comes from the place pages and their sources.
